Becoming a parish councillor is an exciting opportunity. You can make a positive and impactful contribution to your community, represent the interests of residents (in areas including planning, safety, village infrastructure and recreation), participate in guiding the future development of Foxton and improve the quality of village life. At the same time you get to meet new people and engage with village residents. If you would like to hear more about this role or speak to a current councillor, please contact the parish clerk by email clerk@foxtonparishcouncil.gov.uk or phone 01763 838430
This work is from the 2022 County Council Local Highway Initiative partly funded by Foxton Parish Council to install 40mph buffer zones coming up to the 30mph limits on Shepreth, Fowlmere and Barrington Roads plus the installation of solar powered MVAS units (electronic speed signs) -one on Barrington Road and one on Fowlmere Road with the option of moving the units around to the alternative locations on Barrington and Shepreth Roads.
The installation may cause short term route disruption but should help to slowdown traffic speeds in Foxton.
