SCDC waste management have a helpful A-Z of what can and can’t be put into Blue Bins, with suggestions of how to recycle items that can’t go in the blue bin. You might be surprised as to what they will recycle as Cambridgeshire is one of the 20% of councils that have a more sophisticated collection and sorting process. So where it says “not widely recycled” on the packaging, SCDC may take it.
